Mr. Birdsong is a genius. Okay, fine, he accidentally reduced the classroom of Class 4a to ash and rubble. But to make up for it, he takes his students on a school trip that packs a punch. In the first volume of this series for early readers, the students of the Bastian Balthasar Bux School end up at a medieval castle where they must participate in a tournament, free Mr. Birdsong from the dungeon and put an end to a haunting. And that's just the beginning!

The Illustrator

Even as a child, Stefanie Klaßen drew and painted everywhere and at all times. When she found out at the age of 7 that there was a job as an illustrator, she knew she wanted to be one! She studied illustration at the University of Applied Sciences for Design in Münster and remained loyal to the city after graduating in 2009. She works as an illustrator for various publishers. What she loves about drawing and painting is that new worlds and characters are constantly being created. In which profession can you send a crocodile with a spacesuit to the moon?
