Gilded display cases, turquoise jewellery boxes, glittering diamond rings – until recently, Ally was a regular customer at Tiffany’s, New York’s fanciest jewellery store. Now, however, she’s on the other side of the counter, no longer one of their elegant customers but a sales assistant right in the middle of the Christmas rush. Ally has sworn to leave the pretentious world of the upper class behind, never rely on her father’s money again and most of all banish her ex-boyfriend Tristan from her life. Ally never wants to let anybody get that close to her again – until one winter evening she meets charming Lucien. The budding perfumer not only understands the art of scents, he also understands Ally like no other. But Tristan can’t handle Ally’s rejection and is doing his best to ruin her new-found happiness.
