How may I reprint and/or use Ravensburger book content?

Questions about the reprinting and use of our book content arise time and again. The answers to particularly frequent ones can be found here on this page.

You are welcome to link our content published on the Internet (e.g. Look inside the book, craft instructions, etc.). However, for copyright reasons, you may not re-upload this content to other sites.

Everything that is regulated within the framework of the copyright law for teaching, you are of course allowed to do (without asking our additional permission). Information on this can be found, for example, at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and in this brochure of the BiSS carrier consortium. Please direct any queries about the content of these links directly to the persons responsible. Unfortunately, we cannot grant you individual free permission to use our book content in school lessons beyond this.

The right of quotation is regulated in Section 51 UrhG. Provided that it is such a quotation, no additional consent of the publisher is required. Please understand that we cannot provide legal advice as to whether your use complies with the right of quotation. In case of doubt, please consult a legal advisor who can assist you in this regard. Requests for reprinting/use beyond the right of citation can be made as described below.

We do not grant individual free permission to use logos or trademarks.

In the sense of a book tip/reading tip, a maximum of 10% of the inside pages of our available books may be read or shown. This includes texts as well as pictures. In this context, the book cover may be shown. The authors and the Ravensburger publishing house must be named. This is also permitted in the context of digital live formats (e.g. on social media), provided that this livestream is not recorded and/or made publicly available.

The book covers of our deliverable books may be shown unchanged and not larger than the original book with mention of the copyright information free of charge as a product image. Beyond that, we do not grant individual, free permission to use book covers.

The regulations described in the sections “Book and reading tips” and “Book covers” also apply to libraries with regard to titles that are no longer in stock.

If you have already acquired the rights of a work elsewhere and would only like to purchase the print data from us, please contact Nadine Alapa’i directly (nadine.alapai@ravensburger.de). Please understand that we can only process your request if you provide us with credible evidence of your rights acquisition.
