Content

The little hedgehog and its siblings live underneath a woodpile in the garden. Its curiosity leads the little hedgehog on an adventure-filled solo journey of discovery. Toward the evening, Mum comes out into the garden as well and takes the little runaway back home. Together with its siblings, they look for food. After an exciting evening, the little hedgehog cuddles up with its mum in the nest. A charming read-aloud story with catchy text for little nature explorers.

The Illustrator

Gerda Muller was born in Holland in 1926; she was educated at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Amsterdam and at Paul Colin’s studio in Paris. She then spent about ten years working on the “Albums du Père Castor” and another five on “Pomme d’Api”. These days, she works for multiple publishers and has produced a large number of albums and posters for children’s rooms. Gerda Muller often interrupts her illustration work to create designs, lithographs and paintings. Large parts of her works have also been published abroad. She began to participate in exhibitions about ten years ago and has won multiple awards. Gerda Muller has two grown daughters and lives in Paris.
