In this book, young children can playfully discover and memorize over 90 terms from their everyday lives on seven double pages, exploring toys and stuffed animals in the nursery and the playground, food items in the kitchen and animals and plants in the garden and by the water. Helmut Spanner's realistic images help children recognize the depicted objects in their everyday environment. Thanks to the large peephole cut-outs, even very young children can easily turn the pages on their own, promoting their fine motor skills and making language development even more fun.

The Illustrator

Helmut Spanner (born 1951), the creator of numerous classical picture books, specialised in picture books for small children during his studies at the Art Academy in Munich. With his high standards in quality he has had international acclaim. Of his many titles more than 8 million copies have been sold in German markets. Helmut Spanner lives and works in Munich.
