Content

Dogs and cats often live with people in their houses and apartments. But what about the other animals? This books presents a wide variety of animal homes: the nests of finches, storks and swallows, where they hatch their eggs and raise their young; or the squirrel's drey where it beds down to sleep. A peek underground shows rabbits, moles and their young. Readers peek inside a beaver's dam, and learn that even bees live in houses and sometimes in hollows of trees. Children will find out that bats might even live under the roof of their house, too. The snail, on the other hand, always carries its house with it - and a little snail is hidden on each two-page spread of the book.
