While diving at the local pool, Mara finds a magic pearl that turns her into a mermaid. She suddenly finds herself in the ocean where she must help mermaid Molly. Molly has lost the magic pearls but she needs them to get to the princess' party. During their search, Mara and Molly encounter Timo the squid and Lilli, an iridescent jellyfish ... Will they make it to the castle in time?

About the Series

Many children start showing an interest in exploring letters and reading as early as kindergarten. That’s exactly what we’ve developed our pre-reading level for. It allows children 5 years and over to make first reading experiences together with their parents. Nouns are replaced with images, making it easy to involve children in the reading process.

The Author

Katharina E. Volk was born in Witten, Westphalia, and lives as a freelance author on Lake Constance. She enjoys going for walks in both places, and when a sea maiden appears in the lake or a water sprite hops onto the banks of the Ruhr, she listens attentively to her mysterious stories. Her books for children are also filled with lovable creatures of all kinds - and in her head, of course.
