Sawing, drilling, hammering: there are many interesting sounds at a construction site. How loud is the sound of the mixing drum when the cement mixer is turning? A gentle push of the button and there's the corresponding sound. In addition, a closer look at the pictures will reveal the many vignettes from the edges of the pages.
And for quiet time, the sound function at the back of the book can simply be switched off.

About the Series

There are five different sounds integrated into the books of this series. You can press the first button through a hole in the cover even before opening the book. Just turn on the battery with the switch on the back cover.

The Author

Frauke Nahrgang was born in 1951 in Stadtallendorf, where she lives today with her husband and two children. She has been working as a primary school teacher since 1976 and enjoys teaching school beginners most of all. At school she began to write texts for beginners, and she has been writing children's books since 1987. Frauke Nahrgang watches children very carefully and is interested in how they make contact, talk and communicate with each other. She transfers these observations strikingly into the stories in her picture books.

The Illustrator

Niklas Böwer was born in 1972 in Hiltrup, Germany, and studied communication design at the University of Dortmund. He has been a freelance graphic designer and illustrator since 2002. When he is not working he likes to ride his motorcycle, listen to music, or simply be outdoors enjoying nature. His travels most often take him to France or Italy. The highest possible accolade for his work, according to Böwer, is when children genuinely praise his drawings. His secret of success is to always maintain a little bit of childhood in his heart: "If you can do that, it’s a recipe for happiness."
