The little kitten is exploring its surroundings and encounters many different animals. The little chick is cuddly soft; the dog has funny, long, floppy ears and the sheep is wiggling its woolly butt. A variety of tactile elements support young children's motor development. Catchy short rhymes playfully encourage children to speak along.

The Author

Maria Höck, born in Zell am See (Austria) in 1991, is a freelance children's book editor, author and translator. She trained as a bookseller and studied book science in Munich and digital publishing in Oxford. After working as a publishing editor and product manager, she set up her own text studio. She lives with her family in Munich.

The Illustrator

Lisa Rammensee, born in 1990 in Nuremberg, studied communication design in Trier and illustration in Hamburg and now works as a freelance illustrator on children's books and cookbooks. She lives with her small family on her farm Meisennest in Saxony-Anhalt, where she pursues her passions between her desk, vegetable patches, fruit trees and chickens. And when she's not creating lively characters at the drawing table, she's probably baking bread or taking long walks with her little family and her dog Koji.
