Fiete signs on as crew on a pirate ship. His favorite thing is helping out in the galley where he cooks the best food ever. During a storm, the pirates encounter another ship. Fiete tries to board it but the storm throws him into the sea. After Captain Pepper saves him, they are rescued by the sailors from the other ship. When they are healthy again, Captain Pepper decides to sell his pirate ship and open a harbor restaurant with Fiete where they serve up the best pirate food in the world!

About the Series

The books in the "Reading Raven – Level 1 Short and Easy" series were developed with the help of educators and are aimed at absolute beginner readers from Year 1. They are characterized by particularly short texts in large primer font, direct speech in speech bubbles and a high proportion of images, boosting children's reading motivation and reading skills at the very start of their reading journey.

The Author

Daniel Sohr was born in Tübingen, Germany in 1973. He studied Graphic Design in Wiesbaden and Münster with a special focus on illustration. In 2000 he moved to Berlin, where he is currently a freelance illustrator. Daniel Sohr has published several children's books with various publishers.
