The Author

Gina Mayer was born in Ellwangen, Germany, in 1965, and studied graphic design. She lives with her husband and two children in Düsseldorf, where she works as an advertising copywriter in addition to writing books for teens and adults.

The Illustrator

Susan Batori is a children's book illustrator. She lives in Budapest, Hungary, with her husband Robert and her cat Kamilla. She studied graphic design at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. As a former art director at DDB Budapest Advertising Agency, Susan soon realized that drawing funny characters was much more fun and has been working as a freelance children's book illustrator since 2013. She has collaborated with numerous international publishers. Her most significant work is the illustration of Dan Brown's debut picture book, Wild Symphony. Humor is the one thing in her studio she couldn't live without. She is represented by the Good Illustration Agency.
