Karline is once again doubting her brother’s sanity. He wrote a mean piece about their class teacher Ms Rohling – and then read it out loud! Ms Rohling has not been seen at the school since. Her replacement: Mr Kastenholz – horror personified in corduroy pants. There is only one solution: Paul must apologise to Ms Rohling!
About the Series
The Most Un-Secret Diary in the World is a graphic novel series written from the perspectives of its two main characters: Karline and Paul, who live together in a patchwork family. Luckily, Paul hasn’t hidden his diary – which he calls his log book – all that well, allowing Karline to have a look at it from time to time and keep one step ahead of Paul – or at least that’s what she thinks. The absurd everyday squabbles of these two very different almost-siblings as well as the many funny and creative illustrations will frequently have you in stitches.
The Author
Anja Fröhlich has been writing children’s books for twenty years and loves marvelling at things for professional reasons alone. Since her son is grown and her husband is a travel journalist, she gets the chance to do that in the remotest regions of the world – just like the donkey and the squirrel. But Anja enjoys being home in Cologne just as much, where she has lived since studying film studies, art history and psychology.Author and journalist Patrick Krause was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1965 and lives in Cologne. After studying philosophy, English language and literature and education, he worked as a copywriter for advertising and media. He subsequently founded his own publishing company and worked as a freelance journalist for Süddeutsche Zeitung and others. These days, he works as a language adviser for businesses. Since 2015, he has also been the editor-in-chief of QVEST magazine – when he’s not riding his racing bike or going crazy on the drums, that is. “The Most Un-Secret Diary” is his first – and very successful – excursion into the world of children’s books.
