About the Series

The Author

Carola von Kessel worked as an editor for children’s and horse books before starting to write her own stories. She currently writes freelance for various publishers. She lives on a former farm on the Lower Rhine with her husband, her daughter and a number of horses.

The Illustrator

Ruby Warnecke was born in Lübeck in 1994. Drawing, handicrafts, photography - she has always loved being creative. She therefore felt the desire to live out her creativity as a profession at an early age. After successfully completing her studies in illustration at the HAW in Hamburg, with a semester abroad at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, she now works as a freelance illustrator with a focus on children's books. She particularly enjoys illustrating animals and plants, as nature is one of her greatest sources of inspiration."
