Snide remarks have always irritated Feather, but her rage unleashing a storm in the middle of London is new. Also new is the fact that her dad responds by packing her bags and driving her to Wingdale Academy in Cornwall the very next morning. At this mysterious elite school, those gifted with elemental powers, like Feather, are supposed to learn to control their powers and keep strong emotions in check. Soon she becomes friends with the sweet Rose, who is terrified of her element, water, because she has already provoked a frightening disaster. Both of them quickly make enemies among the Fire sorceresses in Ivy and her two devotees, because no one could miss the fact that Ivy’s crush, Silver – an Earth type who also happens to be the hottest guy in the school – hasn’t taken his eyes off Feather ever since she arrived. But there is much more to the connection between Feather, Rose and Silver than romance and friendship. When all of humankind is threatened by terrible danger, they have to learn to do more than harness their powers: They have to merge their powers and become something bigger than any of them individually.

Claudia Siegmann was born in Kassel, Germany, in 1973, and invented countless stories even while she was still in school. She first worked in the hotel industry before writing fever caught up with her again, and has been creating fantastic adventure stories ever since, for which she has already received many awards and a grant.
