The AuthorRosemarie Künzler-Behncke was born in 1926 in Dessau. Her first children's book appeared in 1970. In answer to the question "what do you hope to achieve with your books? What is important in life?", the mother of three children replied: "I would like to encourage children to think independently and to be imaginative and creative."
The IllustratorMarlis Scharff-Kniemeyer worked for several years as a photographer before she started studying grapgic arts. Today she earns her living as an illustrator and graphic artist.
