In this beautiful picture book about friendship, empathy and sharing, the bear dreams of having a bountiful garden in the woods, and works hard to make that happen. But each time someone eats his vegetables and destroys the beautiful flower beds. Enough is enough. He decides to keep watch one night to catch the troublemaker, but falls asleep. Saddened, the bear withdraws from his friends. Only then do the other animals realize that they’ve made the bear very unhappy. They are sorry, and to make amends, all of them join together to plant the garden anew.

The Author

Laura Bednarski was born in 1992 and studied design with an emphasis on illustration. Recently she moved to Hamburg in order to complete her education with a master at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Ein Garten für Alle (“A Garden for Everyone”) is her first published picture book.
